GUCCI PRESS LAUNCH OF BASEL 2010 COLLECTIONS.

Today’s press launch of Gucci timepieces is a cause for celebration; Gucci timepieces now made accessible thanks to the recent partnership with Pacific Time. With vast scope of distributor support in the region, the latest Basel 2010 collection will be available in countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan in no time.

The press launch was held at Pan-Pacific Hotel (Oh the irony of everything ‘Pacific’) and in attendance was Mediacorp and Fly Entertainment artistes Felicia Chin, Thomas Ong, Rebecca Tan and the very suave Shaun Chen. The celebs were decked in head to toe Gucci and of course, accessorized with Gucci timepieces.

While the celeb’s alluring presence might have distracted some of us, the highlight of the event was the new line of Gucci timepieces for women called the U-Play. Creative Director Frida Giannini designed the timepieces, distinguished by its functionality and versatility. The go-get-one factor lies in the interchangeable design of the components that allows you to change combination of colours and materials. Besides the U-Play range, the G-Timeless and G-Frame was also on display.

Viewing too many watches certainly opened up a new interest for luxury watches. Today’s press launch of Gucci timepieces is a cause for celebration; to some, but not myself. I’ll be longing for the G-Timeless, sans diamonds of course.
